Drunkenness.—Three male first_ offenders for drunkenness were each fined ss, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment.—William Henry Fisher, a previous offender for drunkenness, was lined 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. Threatening Behaviour.—Alexander Bodes and George Hayes were charged with having used uireatenirig behaviour in Manchester Street. Hayes, who had been locked-up sinc9 the previous day, was - convicted and disharged, and IDcclcs was. fined 10s and ordered to pay witnesses' expenses. Vagp.anct.—-William Henry Alien appeared to answer a charge of being ft rogue and a vagabond. On the application of the Chief Detective the charge was reduced to one of vagrancy. A sentence of three months' imprisonment was imposed. Tiikft.—Ralph Reese, a butcher s assistant, pleaded guilty to a charge of having stolen a tin of tobacco valued at Is, and also to a charge of having stolen 31b of butter valued at 3s 6d, and one tin of tobacco valued at Is.
