MR WILLIS INTERVIEWED. United Press Association —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. . SYDNEY, September 1. Mr M'Gowen refuses to discuss the Willis incident. He will confer with Mr Willis to-morrow. Mr Willis, m an interview, repeated the statements contained in the memorandum. The " Telegraph," he said, was guilty of contempt. It wilfully misrepresented what ,took place in the House, and inoiied members to disorder by commending a suspended member for Ms bad conduct. Asked whether his complaint referred to actual-reports or to leading articles, Mr Willis did not reply definitely. In a second interview, he remarked that he conld only recognise the " Telegraph " as one publication, controlled by one editor. Mr Willis, declared thai an assurance that writers in the " Telegraph " will respect the authority of Parliament should be forthcoming, failing which the exclusion must continue.
