THE HIGH COMMISSIONER.
[From Ov%. CronvJwrojrowrr.] ' WELLINGTON, August 10. The Hon T. Mackenzie left here today for Eltham, where he will be entertained at a banquet on Monday by the citizens. Mr Mackenzie has not yet resigned his seat as member for Egmont, and does not intend to do so until shortly before his departure. His appointment as High Commissioner has not yet been submitted to the Governor for signature.
