[Per Press Association.] GISBORNE, August 8. Tenders for tho purchase of the wreck of the Star of Canada closed this evening, five being received. It will be necessary to cable Heme in tho matter and, therefore, no announcement as to the successful tenderer may be expected for two or three days. The vessels remains quiet on the rocks and tho Gwynne pumps are coping with the water in the stokehold nicely,
