Silver. —2s 4 l-16d per ounce. Wheat.—The visible American wheat supply is 34,718,000 bushels. Shares.—Waihi 33s Id to 31s 4d; Junction, 21s Gd to 22s 6d. Trade Returns.—For . July the imports increased by £7,266,170, and the exports by £7,778,724, while the reexports decreased by £1,085,050. Tallow.—At the auction there were 2SOB casks offered and 1933 were sold; mutton, fine 36s 3d per cwt; medium, 345; beef, fine, 36s 6d; medium, 335. Oats. — Tho market is quiet ; New Zealand, Sa Id to 3s 3d per bushel; Algerian, feed, 3s 2d to 3s 3d; seed, 3s 9d to 4s. Maize.—4s to 5s Id per bushel. Peas.— Dun, seed, 4s 3d to 4s 4d per bushel; grey, 4s 4d to 4s sd. Potatoes. —The market is firm at £9 10s to £lO 10s per ton. Onions.—A firm market at £2O per ton.
