There are 10,500,000 peopl© already insured under the Insurance Act, 1,000,000 of whom are members of trades unions, 5,700,000 members of friendly societies and 3,500,000 in industrial insurance companies, of which the Prudential is the largest. There are 300,000 who are members of other approved societies, and nearly 3,000,000 who have insured have not yet. selected approved societies.
