THE MASTER OF ELIBANK.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, August 8. A barony has been conferred on the Master of Elibank. Mr P. H. Illingworth will succeed him as chief Liberal whip. Lord Cowdray offered the Master of Elibank a partnership and he will become a director of the Weetman Peareon firm. It is understood that the Murray estate in Peebleshire is somewhat embarrassed and Viscount Elibank has given his son control of it. THE MARCONI AGREEMENT. ' The House of Commons has adjourn<ed. Mr Samuel explained the Government's agreement with Mr Marconi, on which debate was postponed till autumn. '
