Cheers were given for the tennis, njid subsequently tho president (Mr J. M. Mitchell) declared tho green closed for tho season. A return match between n Sydenham rink, consisting of Mann, Turnbull. Cain and East (skip), and a United rink, consisting of Beewick, Butler, J. Brown and Lillinjrton (skip) was played to-day on tho United green, and resulted in a win for Sydenham by IS to 10.
