The three Tiraaru schools are so overcrowded that further accommodation is being asked for, and it is probable that the Board of Education will proceed with the erection of the new Timaru West School, for which a site has been purchased. The annual meeting of the St Albans Young Men's Guild was held on Tuesday evening last, when there was a large attendance. The president, Mr J. VV. H. Francis, occupied the chair.
