The weather was overcast for the Hibernian sports meeting. The prize money amounted tc £"250. The following ;iro tlio results of the chief events-

Corry Handicap, iirst £1" - Southgaio (Blenheim) 1., AV. J. Burns 2, Leahv 3.
Forced Handicap, 220yds—Rutherford (Wellington) 1. Proohstel 2, Slight Publican Handicap, firsfc £7—M. Stevens (Mutt) 1, Toohy 2, W. J. Burns 3.
Allen won the High Jump, Sheen won the Two-mile Bicycle Race, and Paine won the one-mile race. Tn tho 220 yds Hurdles, Bates (llutt) won. easily off scratch, Karsten 2, Harnett 3.
Keen disappointment was felt that Postle and Kinsey failed to keep their engagements to run at tho sports. Postlo telegraphed on the morning of the sports that ho was unablo to leave Nelson.
