Letter mails close for the following places as ".aider, subject to the necessary alterations:— Mails per express to Dtincdin and South close daily at 7 a.m. mid 11 a.m.; late fee (i.e., letters bearing- .Id additional stamp),. 11.15 a.m.; also mail van tip to 8 a.m., and guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.10 a.m. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8. For Northern Ports, per Mararoa, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee lettora, 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.2, i p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Cygnet, at (5.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9. For Northern Ports, per Manuka._ at 3 p.m.; late ice letter.?, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, ■1 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, also for Australian States, etc. (due Sydney November .14), India, China, Ceylon, Hong 1 Kong. Straits Settlements, South Africa, etc.; also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Naples, due London December 16, per s.s. Maori, to oonnoct with Manuka, at 6.15 p.m.; late foe letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. Money orders i p.m., registered articles and parcels 5 p.m., books and newspapers 5.45 p.m. Mails from the United Kingdom, etc, via Naplos, that left London on October 6, are due in Clvristchurch on November 14, as follows: Letters, via Auckland, at 8 a.m.; newspapers, 5.30 p.m., via Bluff. Mails for Cromarty, Pivysegtir Point and To Oneroa clo3e at Invcrcargill on November 9, at 1.30 p.m. The next mail for Canada, United States of America, etc. via San Francisco, 'will ciose at Christchurch on November 16. Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji, per Attia, close at Auckland on November 8, at 8.45 a.m. Tho next mail from the United Kingdom, etc. (despatched from London on October 4), via San Francisco, is due in Christchurch on November 10. 'Mails for the United Kingdom, etc., despatched from Christchurch on September 07, via Naples, arrived in London on November 5, one day late. Note.—November 10 (Show Day)— The usual letter carriers' town delivery will bo made up to 11.30 a.m., and in the suburbs only one delivery will be made.
