A. AND P. ASSOCIATIONS.

OXFORD. The General Committee of the Oxford Agricultural and Pastoral Association met in the public library on November 4.. The president, Mr W. Wold, presided over a good attendance of members. It was decided that the annual 'show should be held on Friday, April 12, 1912. Th- invitation to be represented at Lincoln College on Farmers' Day was accepted. It was decided to support the candidature of Mr T. Blacl'cley for a seat on the College, Board. Tho suggestion that a ploughing championship should be held in the vicinity of Christchureh was tentatively approved and two delegates were appointed. The following sub-committees were appointed: Finance, the president and treasurer and Messrs J. O'Halloran, R. H. Parish, IT. T. Cooper, J. Cross and P. H. Thompson; Ground Committee, the president and Messrs H. T. Cooper, R. A. Henderson, L. Powell, T. .T. Frame, George Winter, J. Bucl.ge, P. R. Thomnson, E. W. Movers, August Meyers, j. Cross, J. Wo%, R. Gilchrist and D. TTawke. The Finance Committee was authorised to arrange for plans for suitable buildings on the grounds. • It was also resolved that tho Finance and Ladies' Committees should moot to consider the matter within a. month. It was reported that £oo had been placed on the Supplementary Estimates for the Association and the secretary was instructed to apply lor the amount.
