It was resolved, that the hydrants should be provided. Sir Marchsnt also forwarded a report on tbe septic 'auk proposal. He estimated the cor-t at about £9OO, and contingencies an additional £2OO, and recommended a loan of £ISOO. It was resolved that the Council should meet Mr Marchant on. the- following Monday. The Finance Committee reported that the receipts for the month had amounted to £'2sl Is 4d and there was a credit balance of £229 7s at the bank.
