Lady Hallo made her first appearance in public when soven years old. Three years later she played .for tke iirst timo in England, and the following year she 'appeared at the Philharmonic concert. The reception "accorded to lior was so warm and so kindly sympathetic that she has felt .at homo and at ease with 'English audiences ever since. Lady Hallo's marriage to the late Sir Charles, in 1888, brought together two of the most gifted musicians of tho country, and since that time she has held a position unique in the world of art. Ono of her greatest admirers is ( v >ueen Alexandra, _to whom Lady HivUo was appointed violinist in 1901.
