WAGES BOARDS. MELBOURNE, November 2. The Wages Boards in Victoria, have increased the wages of workers by £4,477,489. NO SERVING OF TWO MASTERS. A conference of the United Labourers' Union lias decided that 110 politician can liokl office lest the organisation's affairs should bo prejudiced. THE FEDERAL LAND TAX. The Land Tax Commissioner lias propared a report showing that land values have been maintained or increased in all the States during the currency of the Federal tax. NATIONAL BANK OF AUSTRALASIA. At tho half-yearly meeting of tho National Bank of Australasia, the profits were reported to have been £07,564. A dividend of 6 per cent was declared, £15,000 added to the reserve and £30'37 carried forward.
