Horrell), and deprecated lengthy discussions on matters which should be settled by the various committees. Mr Turnbull said that the resolutions passed by the Beard were framed in such a manner that nothing at all was 'accomplished, aud the Board was prac. itically stultified. At. a later stage Mr Turnbull asked why the HospitafCommittec had not proceeded with the completion of the administration block, instead of repeatedly asking the authority of the Board. Mr W. W. Tanner, chairman of the committee, replied that the reason for the delay was that every time the matter was brought up objections were made bv some member ,-who knew nothing at nil'about the matter. Mr Montgomery urged that the Board slioiild have more information about these new buildings. Al to-day's meeting of the Hospital Beard, a report was received from the medical superintendent at the Consumption Sanatorium, stating that on June 30 thirteen male and eleven reinale patients were ill residence. During July one patient was discharged and one. died, while three male and three female patients were admitted, making a total of sixteen male and sixteen female patients in residence on July 31.
