Last evoning; at Knox Church, Miss Mackay, who is going out to the Canton Village Mission, was ordained a deaconess of tho Presbyterian Church. There was a large attendance at; the church. The Rev Charles Murray, of Sydenham, conducted the preliminary service, and the Rev Dr Ki'win the ordination, after which the Rev A. Don addressed tho nnVioni'i' and the congregation.
