NEW ZEALAND ALLIANCE.

[Per Press Association-.] WELLINGTON, June 10. At the Mew Zealand Alliance Convention to-day Mr N. .F. M Dermott, Auckland, read a paper on demonstrations and resolutions were passed urging the inauguration of processions and open-air services. It was also decided to recommend a pledge-sign-ing campaign. Appreciation was expressed of the services rendered by Mr A. S. Adams in replying to Professor Salmond's pamphlet. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr Wesley Sjiragg (Auckland); vicepresident, Mr A. S. Adams (Dunedin); secretary, the Rev John Dawson (Wellington) : general organiser, the Rev F. "W. Jsitt (Wellington). Executive and consultative committees were also set up. It was decided to hold the next Convention in Christchurch. The Convention adopted a scheme to raise not less than ,£'25,000 as a Silver Jubilee 'thanksgiving Fund, and emnowercd the executive to arrange the details.
