SHRINKAGE OF RURAL POPULATION. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, June 14. The. census figures disclose that while there has been a heavy growth of population round the metropolis there has been a big shrinkage in the country, especially in the outback districts.
