UNIVERSITY HONOURS.
CONFERRED OX DOMINION STATESMEN. United Press Association—By Elcctrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received June 15, 10 a.m.) LONDON, June 14. The honorai-y degree* of Doctor of Laws was conferred on Sir Joseph Ward, Mr Louis Botha and Sir Edward .Morris at Cambridge. The public orator, in a laudatory Latin speech, mentioned that it had been intended to confen the degrees on others who were absent, including Lord Grey, who "Was in Canada, and Lord Rothschild, who was ill, while Mr Fisher had declined the honour, which the University desired to pay to Australia no less than to himself.
