CHARGES OF WHOLESALE THEFT. LONDON, September 15. I Adolph Rothbarth, of the Loudon firm of Martin, Rothbarth and Co., hop dealers, pleaded guilty at New ■York to larceny of £'2ooo from hanks. The amount altogether involved exceeds £20,000.. George W. Fitzgerald, ex-teller of the Chicago Sub-Treasury, lias been arrested on charges of theft of £30,000. SIR GEORGE RE ID ON IMPERIAL DEFENCE.
