Mr C. Fenwick, M.P., speaking at the miners' demonstration at Tynemouth, said that tho great danger to trades unionism was the grave spirit of insubordination. If the men had no, confidence in their officers, the sooner the latter were dismissed ,the better. Unless this rowdyism was to bo snubbed immediately,; the experience of the Northumberland miners would be tlie greatest social .wreck in modern times. ~-u »•
THE OSBORNE a JUDGMENT. (Received August 23, 2 p.m.) LONDON, August 22.
At the congress of executives of the Labour Party,, the Federation of Trades Unions, and the Parliamentary Committee of the Trades Unions, Mr Shackleton, M.P., presiding, it was resolved to make the Osborne judgment a test question at all elections.' Tlie speakers deprecated the Government's neglect to facilitate the passage of a Bill to restore rights that had been enjoyed for half a century.
NEW SOUTH WALES SLAUGHTERMEN. (Received August 23, 9.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 22.
There is no change to report in the slaughtering trouble. Many of the men are leaving the State.

Messrs Semple, Hickey and Webb, delegates from the New Zealand Federation of Labour, addressed a largo crowd in the Post Office Square during tho lunch hour to-day, and made a strong appeal to the wharf labourers to join tho Federation. They deplored the present political position of the workers, and urged that combination should be formed on industrial lines.
