CO-OPERATIVE BANK. PROPOSAL* BY LORD CARRINGTON. (Received August 5, 2.10 p.m.) - LONDON, August 4. • Lord Carrington, president of the Board of Agriculture, speaking at a meeting of the Farmers' Union, announced that he intended to submit to his colleagues ,a scheme for the establishment of a co-operative bank. Mr Asquith and Mr Lloyd George, he added, had approved of the proposal.
