SMUGGLING.
HIGH PORTUGUESE OFFICERS IMPLICATED. WARSHIP AND ARSENAL UTILISED. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received August 5, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 4. Advices from Lisbon state that smuggling through the arsenal has been long suspected, and on Monday night an oflicial discovered carts carrying clothes, old china and silks, smuggled from Southampton in the Portuguese warship-Vulcan. A courtmartial is pending', and high officials are said to be implicated.
