In the Legislative Assembly the Workmen's Compensation Bill passed through committee. A motion to include clerks in the scope of the Bill was negative:!.- i TUBERCULOSIS. (Received August 4, 9.55 a.m.) In the Legislative Council the medical members strongly criticised the Tuberculosis Notification Bill, stating that it was harsh, cruel and unnecessary. The vice-president of the Executive promised, if advised by the Government medical officer that pulmonary tuberculosis was the only communicable form, .that be would amend the measure. The second reading was carried.
