Tuesday. The morning: was frosty but fine, and the tracks were all in capital order, the majority of the work being accomplished on the outside of tho course proper. A large number of onlookers were present to watch proceedings, which were of a fairly interesting character. Prim was the first out and ran half a milo pleasingly in 57 l-ssec. Coroniforrn did a working 1 gallop over six furlongs. Lovelorn and Clarence went twice round the number six track at half and three-quarter paco. Bonny Glen (R. King) galloped six furlongs in lmin 20 3-saec, and Takaroa half ft milo on tho tan in 52sec. Federal sprinted a similar distance. Los Angelos (W. Holmes) and TVwhaki (G. Emerson) dashed ovor six furlong* in lmin 20 l-ssec. Los Angeloo was undor a pull throughout and apparently had his ctmpanion easily beaten. Scotch Plaid galloped six furlongs with comparative cane in lmin 24sec, Araamento being fully extended in covering 1 a similar distance in lmin 30 2-saec. Southern Cross defeated Eaglestone over six furlongs in lmin 24 l-ssec. Ked King (H. Carr), Canton (B. Scoullar) and Milo (W. Better) were companions in a schooling tas-k over four flights of hurdles. Canton and Ked King gave a good display, but Milo performed very badly and finished up by gcttmsr suspended over the last hurd'e. which had to be removed in order to release him. Mahutft was going- better than Stayboy at tho end of a. mile and a quarter, which occupied 2min 22 l-sseo. Waitapu. who started with them,„ finished several lengths away. Luperin and Wind G-un salloped five furlong's in lmin 7sec and Explosive- traversed a milo in lmin 53 l-sseo. Buayliuid, Obligate and Grand Slam were together at the end of five furlons-a, which occupied lmin Bseo. Bulhvorth defeated Kiatere over a mile and n quarter, tho last mi'e takim? lmin 58sec. King of Trumns and Otckaiko gal oped six furlbnsrs up the back in lmin 27seo and Bed M'Gresror, poinsf lazily, traversed a mile in' 2min 2sec. Sharnshooter (Chapman) defeated Ploughshare (C. Emerson) over a mile in lmin 48 1-5-ec. Mknillus spurted five furlongs, tlio last four in 53 2-ssec. Gold Braid defeated Medallist over six furlongs in lmin 21 4-6seo, Froak and Ideate taking! lmin Sfisoc over a similar distance White Cockado brushed over half a nri'e in 53 4-ssec, finishing strongly and wel Merry Lass and Parley Grove ?allopcd six furlongs in lmin 21 4-s?eo, Otakebo. who started with them, finishing several leneths away. Prophet compased two circuits on the sand at half to three-quarter pace. Stourton sprinted five fur ongs m lima 5 S-osec, a pleasing performance. Audax finished strongly over the last half-mile of two medium-pace circuits on the sand. Dreadless. with the sweaters on, traversed two rounds at half-pace. Circus Girl defeated Tyrannic over seven furlongs in lmin 41see and King's Way galloped a, mile in lmin 59seo tiring badly at the finish. NortnEast and Wauchope dashed over six furlong's in lmin 20 4-ssoo. Pantutu (Brady), Compass (Cochrane) and Woolloomooloo (T. Pine) jumped four flights of hurdles, gave a pleasingi disp'ay, Wooloomooloo s being a distinct improvement on his previous effort. Totika (J. Jones) pooped over two ■flights of hurdles. Capitol (Brady) and le Arai (Young-) went once round over tho steeplechase fences, both horses fenoin? in crood style. Msster Paul (Brady) jumped two flights of hurdles and nfterwards traversed a circuit at half-pace. The following horses did useful to Ikht tasks:— - neoda ClaymoTe, Northern Star.
