An inquest touching the death of William Taylor, the shunter who wa« crushed between two trucks, was held today. The evidence showed that deceased had worn an overcoat, which had probably got caught on a buffer. A verdict of accidental death was returned. [Pkr. Press Association.] BLUFF, March 3. A man named Carl Johansen, twontyeiglit years of age, a native of Sweden, was drowned in the Straits yesterday while oystering. He was knocked overboard by an oyster dredge, and, rising to the surface, ho called to his 'mates to save him. They threw a lifebelt to him, but he could not swim to get hold of it. and sank before tlio boat could be got out. The body has not yet been recovered.
