A DAMAGED MOTOR-CAR.

TO THE IDITOR. Sir, — May I call your attention to an error in the report of the above case, brought by David Arthur Eberlet against the Christchurch Tramway Board, reported in your paper of Monday last? ' • ' . In the report it states that the plaintiff sued the Board for £112 14s lOd, being costs of repairs to the car, and also for £75, being the depreciation of the car as a result of the accident. This is incorrect. The plaintiff sued for £47 14s lOd cost of repairs to the car and £75 for depreciation, making £112 14© lOd in all. Every penny of the £47 14s lOd was allowed, after a very exhaustive hearing by, the Magistrate, and of the £75. £25 was allowed for depreciation. As the driver <of the car and the principal witness in the case, I would ask you to correct this error. . The case is one of considerable interest to motorists, and I shall esteem it a favour if you will publish this correction.— l a"m, etc., ' . N. A. NEELEY.
