The- South Canterbury lawn tennis tournament wa-s continued on the A'shtmrton l)o---inain courts to-day, play commencing again at nine o'clock. The morning was beautifully fine, the heat of the eun being tempered by a delightfully cool couth-west wind. The couits are now in good order for play.. Most of the events have reached ihe' aemi-' final stage, aad should be fizu&bed this afternoon. The finals of the Cliempioashap Singles will be fought out between me winner of Borrows ana Okane's match and W. Peats*, of Temuka. The final for the .Ladies' Championship is t>& be played between Miss G-oodmian, of Christchurch, and Miss Marks, of Dunedin, and an interesting game is promised, as both players are playing particularly . veil.
