The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company to-day cabled the following report on the frozen meat marKet : — " Mutton — Napier, Wellington and North Island, 3|d. Lamb— r First quality, s|d; second, sfd. Beef — Hindquarters, 4d; forequarters, 2§d." Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, Christchurch, have received the following cable message from their London office, dated August 5: — "The tallow market is firm, but there is not much demand. Sales of beef Premier Jus have taken place at 48s 6d c.i.f., and there are sellers of mutton Premier Jus at 42s 6d."
