Owing to the high price of butter making it prohibitive to the poorer classes, the consumption has fallen by c fifth. SYDNEY, August 4. : The attention of some leading opticians has been called to a paragraph in a Wellington paper of July 13. stating that the chemists intend to ask the Government to introduce a sight-test-ing Bill, on the lines of the New South Wales Act of 1906. There is no such Act on the New South Wales Statute Book. A Bill was introduced into the Council but failed to get beyond the first reading. t
