The English Lawn Tennis Association is still undecided about sending 1 a team to Australia in connection with thei contest for the Davis Cup, owing to the financial uncertainty of the venture. A proposal has been revived to hold the preliminary contest with the United Statos first, the winners proceeding to Australia. It is understood that the United States has guaranteed £300 towards th« coat. '
