United Press Association — By Electaio Telegraph— Copyright (Received August 1, 8.10 a.m.)

DURBAN, July 31

In the Natal Assembly Mr Hulett, in moving that the Imperial Government's decision to pay Dinizulu's salary is fraught with serious danger to Natal and South Africa, and tends to defeat the ends of justice, through the natives drawing the inference that Great Britain is backing Dinizulu against Natal, declared that serious results would ensue if an autonomous colony were placed at the mercy and caprice of irresponsible outsiders. The rankest Ireasoii was now being preached to large assemblages of natives.

intimately the Hon W. B. Morcom stated, that the Government was re\)penin.g negotiations for the payment of Dinizulu's salary, in order to re-es-tablish friendly relations with the Imperial Government. He moved that this should be the next business, and the motion was carried unanimously.
