* [Per Pkess Association.] THE TRIAL AT NELSON. [Per Press Association.] NELSON, June 26. Further evidence for the prosecution in the Westport murder case was taken at the Supreme Court to-day. All the witnesses were keenly cross-examined, and the defence is calling many witnesses. The case is likely to last sevo-f-ral days. The prosecution is endeavouring to connect the accused with tobacco smuggling, disclosing efforts to sell in various Westport hotels, and possession of tobacco while on the Talune, also Haline's admission of fighting and kicking a man bearing the description of Bourke. In view of a probable disagreement in the Westport murder case, a newpanel have been summoned and ordered to keep themselves in readiness.
