r ♦ THE RESEARCH CONGRESS. United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received June 5, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, June 4. Britain was not represented at the Polar Research Congress, the delegates including Gerlache, Nordenskjold, Arctowski, Borchgreyink, Sverdrup and Lecointe. Captain Collins presented, the memorandum of Mr Hunt, the Commonwealth meteorologist, which suggested increased care in the selection of the instrumental equipment suitable for Polar conditions. The suggestion was favourably received.
