AUCKLAND, April 18. The Auckland Volunteers are engaged in the Easter manoeuvres just beyond Lake Takapuna. This morning ttte defending force advanced to meet the enemy, and the fight is now in full swing. The weather is perfect.
The Government having granted £60 towards the cost of sending Sergeant Frear, of the Onehunga School Cadets, to England, the sum has been increased by liberal subscriptions. Sergeant Freear will leave on May 4.
