MR DEAKIN AND THE LABOUR PARTY. United Press Association— By Ekctrw Telegraph— Copyright. (Received April 15, 9.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, April 15. Mr Deakin has officially confirmed his intention to remain in office at least till the tariff is through. He wilLmov* an amendment that a Royal Commisi sion to inquire into the Post Office should be postponed till the tariff is out of the way. He expects this to be accepted. Mr Fisher, after the Labour caucus, expressed a hope that harmonious relations would be restored when the House meets to-day. It is understood that a majority of the Labour members who voted against the Government have agreed to fall into line.
