The estate of Mr Remington, late general manager of the Mutual Life Association, has been sworn, for probate at £6863. A COLLISION. The steamer Derwent and barque Metropolis collided in Newcastle Harbour. The Metropolis was considerably damaged. (Received April 15, 9.45 a.m.) THE SYDNEY SHOW. Despite the drought in the early part of the year, the Royal Agricultural Show advanced in all sections. SYDNEY'S COAT OF ARMS. The City CounciL has resolved to addi the coat of arms of Captain Cook to the 'city coat of arms. THE JAPANESE BOYCOTT. The Grandmaster of the Chinese Masonic Lodge of Australia states that the boycott against Japan is to continue. He claims that Australia will benefit largely from China's commercial awakening. (Received April 15, 11.43 a.m.) A NEW CABLE. The new Cocos-Batavia cable was completed at 6.55 p.m. on April 12.
