ADELAIDE, April 14

The New Zealand bowlers played their second and final game against South Australia on the Adelaide Oval. As the visitors had to catch the afternoon train for Melbourne at 4.30 p.m., the gamo was begun at 1.30 p.m., and was limited to twenty-one ends. The weather was dull,, with a few spots of rain, which made the couch-grass stand up. The greens were not quite keen enough for the visitors, although they played truly. Walker and Ham met again, and they had a fine tussle, which was even until towards the finish, when Walker got a fiver which won the game. Ham and Thompson both played well against a strong rink. Clarence Moody got an initial break of ten on Goldstein, who recovered some points, but then went to the bad again. Mayn&rd played several good shots, but Goldstein was clean oft colour, and could never get the strength of the green. Hodgert led Bentley a merry dance. The New Zealand skipper was unwell, but Smith did good/ work for him. Hill, who had a good all-round team, had a close go with Bishop, whose men played well. Walsh always led Allnutt's 2-ink, in which the captain, with saving shots, was a most conspicuous player.

The following are the scores: — South Australia — Snowby, Sobels, Gurr arid Hodert (s) 26; Johnson, A. Rowley, Bower and Walsh (s) 29 ;, Taplin, Schroder, Hoffman and Clarence Moody (s) 27 ; Bond, Rowe, Thomas and Hill . (s) 18; Schultz, Malm, H. Moody ..and AValker 20; total 120.
