[Pbr Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 14. A child named Charlotte Ililey, who was severely burned on Saturday, died in the hospital. MARTON, April 14. A serious motor accident occurred to Mr Lynn M'Kelvie-'s motor-car with seven occupants, while going home from Bulls sale yesterday afternoon. Ine car had travelled some distance beyond the Parewanui school when a horse, jumping from a fence, came in <k>lusion with and capsized it. Ine occupants of the car were more or lees severely injured. Dr Watson was telephoned for and Dr Martin, from Palmerston, arrived shortly after. An ambulance was sent for, and two oi the occupants were taken to the Palmerston Hospital,, the other sufferers being attended to on the spot. Among the occupants, besides Mr L. M'Kelvio. were Messrs Amon (2). Mr J. Sim, Mr Atkinson andj two others: Mr S. Amon had his thigh broken, and Mr B. Amon had hie ankle broken. The others escaped more lightly. A son of Mr Thomas* Bird, named Sydney Thomas Bird, aged six, died on Saturday from acute peritonitis, alleged to have been caused by a kick while playing football at school a few days previously. At the inciuest yesterday the jury returned a verdict that death resulted from peritonitis, caused by receiving an accidental kick while playins; football, no blame being attachable to anyone.
