The weather was fine, but foggy, for training cperatio/is at Ellerslie this morning, and with few exceptions all ther work was clone outsido the course proper, which was a trifle holding. Carl Rasa made a hack of Waiotahi ov3r seven furlongs in lmin 34 1-oseo. Celtic and Cambrian were together at the cud of seven furlongs, run on the sand, in lmin 32 2-ssec. Tho last-named showed signs of lameness after working. Aborigine was going easier than Arolight at tho end of six furlongs, run in lmin 23 3-ssec. Sootty was. ioo good for Master Delaval at the end o£ a mile, run in lmin 53sec. Delegate beat Montigo over the same journey in lmin 51 4-ssoc. Leonator and Certainty were together, with Pohutu beaten off, at the end of a similar task, run in lmin 50sec. North Head, alone, ran five furlongs in lnun 7 3-sswc. Chanteuso and Finery, separately, sprinted two furlongs. Wcodhcy was too good for Diamond Star over five furlongs, run in lmin lOsec. King Billy ran a furlong further in lmin 21 8-ssec. Dawn took lmin 24sec for the same task, while Eauparaha easily beat Mahuta over the same' distance in lmin 21 8-sseo. AfteT breakfast, Starina finished better tlian Golden Eagle at the end of six furlongs, run in lmin 27 3-Ssee. Tamainupo and Locbbuio were together at the end of four furlongs, run in 51 4-ssec. Te Aroha traversed five furlongs in lmin Bsec. "Waihuka covered four furlongs in 53 4-ssec. Veronica beat Maxangi over the same distance in. 61 3-ssec. Omati and Lady Hune jumped seven hmdles, the former appearing to most advantage. Silica and Loch Pyne were sent a round of iha steeplechase course, the latter falling at- tho sod wall. Irish, Moeraki, Kapakapa and Good Faith did a similar tack; the quartet fencing well. Te Rahiii beat Swagsman, Philosopher and Gipsy Queen in a round over the schooling hurdles. A large number of others also worked. Proseer's team arrived this morning, as did Uhlander. * .
