THE GOVERNOR.
His Excellency the Governor (Lord Plunket) arrived in Christchurch this morning. 4 Tiiis afternoon the latest addition to the roll of Masonic Ledges under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand will be consecrated, and the W.M. installed bj M.W. . Bro Lord Plunket, Grand Master. The Provincial Grand Master and officers of Grand Lodge will assist. The new Lodge is: to be called the Civic — a name which is exceedingly appropriate, as his Worship the Mayor is one of the charter members, and the Town Clerk, Bro H. R. Smith, is to be the first J.W. Bro J. J. Dougall will be installed as the first W.M. At the conclusion of the ceremony of installation and investiture a banquet will be held in the foyer of His Majesty's Theatre. The presentation by his Excellency the Governor of tho certificates, diplomas and medals in connection with the Trinity College of Music, London, will take place to-morrow afternoon at three o'clock in tho foyer of His 'Majesty's Theatre. His Lordship Bishop Grimes^'ill preside on the occasion. In the evehing his Excellency will leave for Auckland.
