Monday. ' A mild morning saw the trainers out at daybreak, but being: an off-day, proceedings were uninteresting. S. Wacldel gave hia team, including Zimmerman, Kairoma, Martyrium, North Pole and Rock Ferry, half to steady pacing en the ton. They are all looking weij, especially , Zimmerman, who went very freely. Somar'ofi and Don Orsino ran six furlongs strongly, while the following horres were given half to steady pacing: — Lapland, Grwendolina. G lencuMoch, fetra-tagcm, Carissima, Fleetfoot, Signer, Hclianthes, Volodin, Night-light Flitaway. Sister Ann© Clanchattan, Highland Reel, J?etrovna, Balaclava, Chief Lochiel, Apollyon, Husbandman, G-old-beßter and Si'.kweb. After breakfast, the following horses put in useful to light tasks:— Jacket Buccleuch, Ingloneuk, Amboise, Canton, All Guns, Lady Disdain, Alexis, Grand Stand, Storm, Gold Braid. Ability, The Libyan, Prim Paragon, Pretty Noll, Nancy Stair. Hilarity, Sea King, Cross Battery, Stronghold, Millionaire; Whisf.eoraft. Ayesha, Southern Cross, Tremulous, Cockleshell and Gypsobel. Santita and Kilts were exercised at the barrier, and appeared to take mattera quietly. , Beneform, who arrived from the winn on Saturday, went out and did Bteady pacing. He is looking in- fine fettle. The champion filly Fleet-foot has ■unfortunately developed lameness, which may prevent her- fulfilling her engagements at the meeting.
