EXECUTIVE RE-ELECTED.

NO SUPPORT FROM TYNESIDE. [Froji Our Correspondent.] GREYMOUTH, /April 12. Last week's developments leave tlie position in connection with the Blackball strike somewhat changed. The Blackball Union has reaffirmed its demand for half an hour's crib time. The Tyneside miners have withdrawn their financial support to the strikers. The Greymouth Wharf Labourers' have decided to continue their levy in support of the wives and children of the strikeTS, but many members declare that they will no longer pay. The Blackball Union's meeting, which was a protracted one, was largely attended. The resignation of the officers was accepted, but all were re-elected unopposed. Several of th 4 members o>f the executive spoke very strongly in condemnation of the action of " One of the Strikers ' in making some public disclosures. Telegrams were received from Mr Hickey and Mr Pritchard, the travelling delegates, w<ho are in Wellington. Mr Hickey said : " Tregear wished his proposition dealt with by executive. Can explain everything. Am writing." Mr Pritchard telegraphed as • follows: " Don't resign. Despite traitors,' keep solid front. Victory is yours, do not heed clamouring of few creatures would rather be slaves than free men. Yours is the cause of common justice. David K. Pritchard." The action of the Tyneside miners means a loss of £30 per week to the strikers, who are very sore over the decision. This withdrawal was the outcome of the revelations made as to the attitude of the executive in withholding information from the members of the Union.

£j?er Pbess Association.] GREYMOUTH, April 12. The meeting of the Blackball Union ofri Saturday decided to continue the strike and to remain firm in the demand for half an hour crib time. It is reported that over £300 was distributed in strike pay on Saturday, the basis of payment being 30s for each man, 10s for a wife and 5a for each child. One miner received £3 10s for the week. The Tyneside Miners' Union met on Saturday and rescinded the resolution agreeing to give support to the strikers. The Wharf Labourers' Union met this morning to consider the question of withdrawing its support, but the Press was not admitted, and all information as to the result has been, withheld.
