BILLIARDS.

The Alcook billiard tournament, promoted by the Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club, was commenced this week in the club's -ooms. Tbe tournament, which will be playd under handicap conditions, 300 up, is one ->l the largest of its kind ever held in New Zealand. The prizes amount to £100, and L he nominations, totalling 95, include most of he leading players in Christohurch.
