HEAVY GALE AT SUVA. United Press Association— By El-ctrio Telegraph — Copyright. (Received March 24, 9 a.m.) SUVA, March 24. There was a heavy, gale last night, the glass showing 29.25. The steamer Sangola, which arrived from India on March 18, -with 1150 coolies, was driven ashore, with large lighters loaded with Indian cargo alongside. Many email craft were- wrecked. Houses and balconies were wrecked, and as the valuable Levuka cable was interrupted, there is no country news. The Marama, bound for Vancouver, was detained, but she departed at 6 a.m. (Received March 24, 11.30 a.m.) SUVA, March 24. Tlie Sangola has been refloated. Tlie banana plantations have been damaged. The Legislative elections resulted thus :— Mr H. Scott 94, Mi- G. Fox 72, TMr S. L. Lazaras 70,. Mr H. Marks' 6o.
