A' Press Association telegram from jUasterton says that a somewhat serious anticipation regarding local pastures was expressed to a "Wairarapa tre" representative yesterday by an perienced farmer. He believes that egrass has been so severely affected • the drought that on a good many basturee it will be 'found to have died fight out. He states that on the FernSidge there is every indication so far ■".hat such is the case, though, of course, it will be some time before a definite pronouncement upon the matter can be Itnade. What ryegrass does survive will ifaot be of much use this season.
