[FROM OU_t COKRESrONDBNT.] KAIKOURA, March 23. It has been raining here continuously since Thursday. The creeks and rivers are high, and the coaches are having difficulty in getting through. [Per Press Association.] MASTERTON, March 23. Five inches of rain have fallen since the drought! broke up, but the rain has not penetrated the soil to any depth, owing to its being baked so hard. The weather is milder, and crops and feed are coming on rapidly. WELLINGTON, March 23. Although the southerly gale has moderated the weather is unsettled, and rain is falling intermittently. So far this month 2.87 in of rain have fallen.
