The Council by 31 votes to 6 approved of the amendments made by the House in the Fire Brigades Bill, and the amendments made by the House to the Animals Protection Bill were agreed to. The report of a conference on the disagreement between the Council and the House over the amendments in the Factories Act Amendment Bill was received, and a compromise arrived at and ratified.
The Christchurch District Drainage Act was put through all its stages.
