Drunken rioters, led by a man in an officer's uniform, raided the municipal abattoirs at Vladivostock, where many persons of both sexes are employed. Tho officer ordered all the employees to be hanged, but the gibbet broke while attempting the first execution, and the order wae revoked. The officer ordered tho employees to form a line, and attacked them with his sword, the other raiders using clubs. Many were shockingly injured before their shrieks brought the guard, whhn the rioters
